Did you know that CatPrint now offers archival-quality printing on our new Archival Uncoated Poster Paper? You might be wondering: What is archival printing? How should I prepare my files? What sizes are considered wide-format posters? How do I order archival prints on poster paper through CatPrint? We’ve got all the answers below!

What is archival printing?
Archival printing means producing fade-resistant, high-quality prints using pigment-based inks on premium papers designed to last. Our new Archival Uncoated Poster Paper offers a smooth, natural surface that’s perfect for artwork you want to cherish and frame.
What are the file requirements?
Similar to our other digital printing services, your files should be at least 300 DPI and saved in CMYK color format. Accepted file types include JPG, PDF, TIFF, or PNG.
Make sure your file dimensions match the final print size, including bleed if needed. For example, a 24”x36” poster should have files sized exactly 24”x36” (no bleed) or 24.25”x36.25” (with full bleed). Learn more about full bleed setup here.
What is considered a wide-format poster order?
Any print larger than 12”x18” is considered wide-format at CatPrint. Wide-format prints can be created on our Luster Gloss Poster Paper, Archival Uncoated Poster Paper, or Art Quality Poster Canvas, selectable in the Order Builder. The maximum print width is 44” and length can be up to 100 feet—plan your designs accordingly.
How do I order archival prints?
To order prints on archival-quality paper, simply select Archival Uncoated Poster Paper from the paper menu in the Order Builder, then enter your print specifications.
You don’t need to print larger than 12”x18” to use this paper—we can print smaller sizes as well. Just note that our poster papers are printed on one side only.
