Setting Up Your Greeting Card Files for Printing

How to: File Layout

We offer options for printing on the outside, inside, or both sides of greeting cards. When setting up your greeting card files for printing, please be sure that your file is the full unfolded size. For example, if you are looking to print a 5" x 7" greeting card, the file dimensions for your design should be the unfolded 10" x 7".

Landscape Design:

Front: bottom half

Back: top half– and should be upside down, so when folded it is oriented correctly

Inside Message: bottom half (of a second file)

Portrait Design:

Front: right side

Back: left side

Inside Message: right side (of a second file)

Folding Considerations

It is standard practice for greeting cards to have a slight overhang for easier opening, with the front being longer than the back. Additionally, full-bleed designs on the front of a card extend beyond the fold line onto the back. This ensures there is no white or back design appearing on the front of the card once folded.

Template Downloads

We have templates available for download for guidance here. These design templates are usable in any design software program, such as Photoshop and Illustrator. All of the files are in PDF format.

The course varies with each playthrough, ensuring that no two experiences are identical. This unpredictability maintains the novelty of the slope games.
